We’re looking for Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. We’re a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security and business systems. 

As a Staff SDET, you’ll partner with our teams to bring our QA strategy and implementation to the next level in our organization. You will be responsible for leadings, designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the highest quality of our mobile applications.

This position will be based in our Bangalore office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do

• Lead the development and implementation of automated testing strategies for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.

• Lead Senior SDET's and provide the vision for the team.

• Engage with engineers, PM,s and other teams to understand and fill gaps.

• Design and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Appium, Espresso, and XCTest.

• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless and efficient testing processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA engineers to define and implement test plans and strategies.

• Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers on best practices in mobile automation testing.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams to resolve them.

• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

• 5+ years of experience in mobile automation testing for Android and iOS platforms.

• 2+ yeas of experience leading teams.

• Strong proficiency with automation tools such as Appium.

• Solid programming skills in Java, kotlin and swift is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI.

• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
