Job Description

As a Sound Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch audio experiences across our entertainment venues. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and programming Digico Quantum series and Allen & Heath digital mixing consoles.
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks for all audio equipment, including regular cleaning of Shure wireless handhelds, belt packs, IEMs, and Bantam patch bays.
  • Troubleshooting audio equipment such as D&B amplifiers, Dante networks, MADI audio interfaces, and Mac computers.
  • Using and programming Qlab and DiGiCo consoles to Timecode.
  • Mixing Front of House (FoH) sound for large-scale musical theatre shows.
  • Mixing IEMs and wedges as a monitor engineer for vocalists and band members.
  • Setting up and striking audio equipment in multiple areas of the resort for various events.
  • Providing technical assistance during functions, both day and night.
  • Assisting in the load-ins and load-outs of equipment to and from the theatre.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in basic lighting, stage, and video if required.

Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays).

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in musical theatre.
  • Proficiency in mixing live bands and large-scale musical theatre shows (60+ inputs).
  • Basic experience in operating lighting, video, and stage equipment (beneficial but not essential).
  • Strong teamwork skills, ability to work under pressure, and multitasking capabilities.
  • Organizational, efficiency, and proactive work ethic.
  • Good understanding of working safely within a theatre/stage environment.
  • Basic bench work skills, including soldering (beneficial but not essential).
  • Studio recording/mix-down experience (beneficial but not essential).
