The main duties of the post will involve pre-operating sessions, post-operative care, theatre lists under consultant supervision, attending outpatient clinics including fracture clinics and On Call shifts on a rota which does include day, night and weekend shifts, attendance at MDT’s for trauma, and in some instances subspecialty MDT meetings.

The doctor accepts that he / she will also perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant, in consultation where practicable with his / her colleagues, both senior and junior.
