Job Description
NHS Band 7: Salary £47,810 - £54,710 ( pro-rata) per annum

Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist ready to take the next step in your career? Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic Team Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated stroke and neuro pathways service, including our highly regarded Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team.
About the Role:
- Lead and coordinate speech and language therapy provision across stroke and neuro pathways.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Provide clinical expertise and leadership within both acute and community settings.
- Drive service development and innovation to enhance patient outcomes.
- Benefit from peer support with another Band 7 SLT Team Lead within the pathway, ensuring shared leadership, collaboration, and professional growth.

- Excellent communication and teamworking skills – able to inspire collaboration across disciplines.
- Proven leadership experience – supporting, mentoring, and developing staff to reach their potential.
- Clinical expertise in stroke and neuro rehabilitation – with a passion for evidence-based practice.

- Able to independently manage a range of patients with dysphagia and communication difficulties.

Qualifications
Essential
- Diploma or Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Current HCPC registration
- Achieved postgraduate dysphagia competencies.
- Driver (in the UK) and car owner essential for this role.
