Playtech‘s GPAS unit is looking for a proactive DevOps Engineer with excellent communication and technical skills.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will...

  • Manage configuration and deployments for applications
  • Proactively participate in process improvement and automation
  • Create CI/CD pipelines
  • Improve configuration management playbooks
  • Support, debug and troubleshoot configuration related issues
  • Maintain well-documented notes for post RCA
  • Configure monitoring dashboards and alerts for services
  • Participate in releases and deployment to various environments
  • Identify potential problems and risks
  • Participate in DevOps related projects

Qualifications

Components for success. You...

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability engineering
  • Possess strong Linux and Networking skill set
  • Demonstrate experience with managing Docker containers and orchestration solutions (Nomad, Kubernetes)
  • Have solid experience in package/config management and IaC (Helm, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Possess knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools and processes: Git, Jenkins pipelines, ArgoCD, Artifactory
  • Demonstrate programming skills in Python/Bash
  • Possess an intermediate level of English

You'll get extra points for...

  • Knowledge of Couchbase, MongoDB or another NoSQL database
  • Hands-on experience with ElasticStack, Grafana, Prometheus
  • Experience with cloud providers: Google Cloud Platform, AWS

GPAS TEAM
Gaming Platform as a Service (GPAS) is Playtech’s exclusive distributed games delivery platform, currently hosting over 700 games. GPAS is a highly accessible, multi-tenant, scalable, distributed, and event-driven system written in Scala, utilizing the Pekko framework. We use Couchbase for hot storage and AWS S3/DynamoDB for cold storage, enabling us to handle nearly a billion transactions per day. Our complex solution supports a variety of slot and multiplayer games, with an architecture designed to extend support to other game types. We adopt the Scrum methodology to deliver new features on time.
