Job Description
Are you an ambitious student looking to apply your technical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic corporate environment? Pilot Company is seeking a Process Automation Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business process automation, making a meaningful impact by supporting automation initiatives that directly improve the experience of our business partners while being mentored by our experienced team members.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our Process Automation team. Your key responsibility will be to support the development of bots automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve business processes. You'll gain exposure to leading automation technologies, including Blue Prism, while helping design, develop, and implement bots automation solutions that create value across the organization. This internship is not only an opportunity to learn the practical application of process automation but also a chance to grow within a supportive team dedicated to innovation, continuous improvement, and developing its people.
What You’ll Do
Develop business process diagrams: Learn how to analyze and document business processes, creating process maps that identify opportunities for automation.
Build automation solutions: Assist in developing automation bots using Blue Prism software and other automation technologies under the guidance of experienced team members.
Support business transformation: Contribute to automation initiatives that positively impact business partners by streamlining processes and improving operational effectiveness.
Learn from the best: Receive hands-on mentorship and real-world experience working alongside professionals who design and implement automation solutions across the organization.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Education: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Information Technology, Business Process Management, Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with Blue Prism, process mapping tools, automation technologies, data analysis tools, or related software is a plus, though training will be provided as needed.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and an appreciation for the user experience. We're looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, solving problems, and understanding how technology can improve business processes.
Qualities: A high level of interest in process automation, continuous improvement, and emerging technologies. We value individuals who are driven, reliable, authentic, and welcoming, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative environment.
