Job Description

The Analyst II Business Planning plays an essential role within the Business Planning team to define, create, and monitor key strategic initiatives. This role is critical in analyzing the effectiveness of the company’s top strategic initiatives and ensuring key performance commitments are on track as planned.

  • Develop analytical frameworks, scorecards, and other reports to assess strategic priorities
  • Apply analytical rigor to track performance progress, improve prioritization, and evaluate risks to strategic goals
  • Interpret business results and translate findings into strategic insights for the business planning team and senior leadership
  • Effectively communicate the significance of strategic insights to drive business decisions
  • Research and synthesize industry trends, competitive conditions, best practices, and benchmarks to inform strategies
  • Develop essential tools through excel and Smartsheet and Tableau dashboards to report and monitor performance
  • Support the annual strategic planning process by analyzing and summarizing components of the strategic plan and building content for leadership presentations
  • Develop high-quality presentations and other supporting materials for the Business Planning and leadership teams
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management or other related field
  • 5+ years in an analytical or planning role or other related experience
  • Understanding of enterprise strategy management methodologies (ex: Balanced Scorecards, Objective Key Results, etc.)
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel and other analytical software, experience with data visualization and reporting tools a plus (ex: Tableau)
  • Strong analytical, conceptual problem-solving skills and business acumen
  • Proficient communication skills (written and oral) to facilitate discussions around strategic risks and opportunities
  • Ability to develop business plans and model financials
  • Ability to foster relationships with key stakeholders to partner on initiatives, provide advisory support, and gain credibility
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Travel required less than 5%
