Job Description
Supply Chain Planner for Finished Goods is responsible for managing production planning, scheduling, and inventory utilizing the ERP system. He/She will ensure achievement of production objectives in the manufacturing facility by coordinating the flow of finished goods, schedule and prioritize jobs to meet the customer’s needs.
Any role with SAP access:
Ensure the accurate and real-time execution of tasks related to the process/es they are responsible for, including the recording of information and report generation in the designated forms and platforms (e.g. SAP)
Integrate with other parties/ functions whose processes are interfaced with their processes (to enable alignment, efficient flow of the process, and effective implementation of controls)

SAP- Related Tasks:
Production Engineering
Requests to create/update MRP view by filling out a Material Master Request Form. Send through email the accomplished request form
Determines if there is a need to separate planning by location and proceeds with necessary steps based on assessment
Changes MRP 1 View to update MRP Area
Validates MRP parameters maintained
Demand Management
- Executes Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Material Requirements Planning
Runs Material Requirements Planning via standard MRP or advance planning standard MRP - (macro/micro/packmats/toll fg/toll sfg), advance planning - (plant fg/sfg)
Validates Production Planning Run result
If MRP related, checks and updates MRP related issues
If advance planning, coordinates with production for correction (Prod version issues)
FG Planner performs advance planning run to effect the correction
After MRP Execution, validates if the inventory in the system vs actual is correct as well as the on queue balances
Evaluates generated Planned Orders for in-house production both for MTS & MTO items
If Planned Orders have missing component/s or for exhaustion, coordinate with the RM planner, as the RM planner investigates cause & coordinate with the responsible parties for appropriate action
If there is a need to change the production version, the planner edits the production version in the specific/affected planned orders
Evaluates generated planned orders in terms of quantity & need by date based on demand.
Detects and resolves MRP run material master data issues
Detects and resolves MRP run key figures issues
Checks if there are enough stocks and proceeds with necessary steps based on assessment
Executes Production Scheduling – Process ID 5.3.4 Firming of Planned Order
Situation handling
Evaluates Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Result (Firmed Planned Orders and Purchase Requisitions)
Detects MRP situations for Material Exceptions
Checks and reacts to MRP Material Exceptions
Production Scheduling
Evaluates Planned Orders generated from MRP
Manually creates Planned Orders
Evaluates Material Component Stock inventory for the Planned Order by executing Material Component ATP Check
Selects the appropriate Production Version for the Planned Order in the system
Performs Manual BOM Explosion after updating the Planned Order production version
Firms of planned order
Qualifications
- Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Lean Manufacturing or a related field
- 3-5 years working in a variety of roles in a manufacturing organization, including experience in some or all of these areas: Operations. Supply Chain, Procurement Customer Service, and Commercial Sales.
- Prior experience leading scheduling/planning transformation is strongly preferred.
