Project Dagger is a yet unannounced AAA action- adventure game developed by our North American team supported by PCF’s European studios.
Job Description
- Maintain the production and software pipeline and meeting deadlines
- Creating high quality characters, creatures and props rigging and skinning suitable technically to project universe
- Experience implementing rigs in engine, using tools such as RBANs, IK Retargeting, Control Rig, etc
- Work closely with modelers and animators to ensure a smooth development pipeline that delivers high quality assets
- Working on pipeline tools and working with engine and project leads on continuous improvement of those engine tools
- Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing with less experienced peers
- Occasionally support Lead in recruitment projects with HR collaboration
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical animation, tools and pipeline development
- Experienced building at least 2 AAA titles
- Extensive knowledge and experience with animation graphs
- Great experience with Maya, specializing in rigging/skinning
- Strong Python skills
- Solid ability to create tools and write scripts to help improve the animation pipeline
- Comprehensive understanding of anatomy and character movement/ deformation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly provide technical feedback into the tasks, rigs, toolsets and documentation
- Knowledge of current technology and trends in video games
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Open-minded team player attitude
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated
- Passionate about playing and making video games
Nice to have
- Experience with metahuman
- Experience in anim graphs or procedural animation systems
- Experience with UE5 Physics simulation on cloth and other physics items
- Experience creating tools in Unreal with Python or editor utilities
