Founded in 2002, we made our mark on the shooter genre with titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Outriders. We are one of the most experienced Unreal Engine studios in the industry and we are expanding it with in-house solutions called PCF Framework.
Our creative teams are currently working on several exciting AAA projects with the top publishers in the industry: Project Gemini with Square Enix and Project Dagger with Take-Two (2K), in addition to a new IP to be self-published and two other games in a concept phase. One of our IPs is also being adapted for VR technology.

Job Description
- Maintain the production and software pipeline and meeting deadlines
- Translating conceptual illustrations into outstanding real-time lighting visuals
- Creating compelling lighting that set up the mood, tells a story, and makes a coherent world
- Assistance for level designers with lighting support to achieve their goals
- Design and deliver light objects and IES textures
- Creating dynamic lighting that brings life to the environment
- Collaborate with the VFX department to create atmospheric, 3D scenes with the use of the right color palette and other meaningful artistic choices
- Creating high-end lighting for cut-scenes
- Innovating new techniques for next-gen hardware and work with engineers to expand the required tool-set
- Analyzing the scene for performance issues, ensure all lights are as optimal as possible
- Looking for feedback and direction after deep self-investigation
- Working with the Tech/Engine department to fix technical lighting issues
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of working experience in game dev in a similar position
- A critical eye for environment depth from a lighting point of view
- Good UE4 knowledge (or any other game engine)
- Experience with a variety of techniques and tools that helps to achieve lighting goals
- Solid understanding of performance limitations and possibilities of a current console generation
- Ability to create all content needed for lighting (textures, IES, HDR maps, materials, scripts, etc.)
- Ability to work with artists, designers, and programmers to work through artistic and technical challenges
- Experience with generating light-maps, baked lighting
- Ability to show examples of top-notch lighting aesthetics made for next -en console games
- Follow Unreal Engine technical news
- Great ability to take direction and implement feedback
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Open-minded team player attitude
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated
- Passionate about playing and making video games
Nice to have
- Basic skills in photography
- Good UE4 knowledge (or any other game engine)
- Shader programming experience
- Shipped-title experience
