Job Description

·          To ensure that official orders have been issued for all purchases before goods are ordered

·          To ensure that stock records systems are accurate and up-to-date

·          To audit requisitions and issues of all outlets and highlight any inaccuracies

·          To ensure regular assets stock takes are carried out as per the SOP, capturing, deviations

·          To provide closing stock figures with stocktaking at stipulated intervals

·          To ensure that all discrepancies are passed immediately to the Food & Beverage Manager so that he / she can take appropriate action in the event of adverse results

·          To ensure a smooth working relationship with other departments, avoiding antagonism in sensitive areas;

·          To ensure that prices entered in programmed are correct and updated when necessary

·          To ensure goods receiving procedures are strictly adhered to by the outlets

·          To capture mid-month and month end stock takes on to the system correctly

·          To submit theoretical cost of sales to the F&B Manager deviation reports after results within a day

·          To keep the Materials Control back of house system up to date at all times

·          To ensure that all internal stock transfers are booked and on the system when it occurs

·          To ensure that all Materials control users are always updated and made inactive if they have left the company as per the IT SOP's.

Qualifications

·          Matric or equivalent

·          Minimum of 3 years experience in food & beverage  controls is essential

·          Sound understanding of financials, cost of sales

·          Diploma in Hospitality will be an added advantage

·          Strong in stock & cost control of food, beverage & operating equipment

·          Good product knowledge & familiar with relevant suppliers

·          Computer literate in Word, excel & Materials Control system

·          Good communication skills & be well organised

 

Additional Information

To maintain effective and efficient Food & Beverage stock control processes / administrative procedures by providing Food & Beverage department with administrative support on a day-to-day basis.
