About this job:
We are seeking an Operations & Accounting Analyst to join our Life Operations, Technical Accounting and Administration team. The role can be based in Paris or Dublin and will be reporting to the EMELA Data Operations – Team Lead.
Qualifications
About the role:
In this role, you will be assigned to manage the claims data for Life & Health treaties and support Technical Accounting activities. This role will require regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will primarily be responsible to:
- Ensure data quality: claims data received needs to be complete, accurate, consistent, and provided as required in treaty agreements.
- Extract and load the claims data into our system, including escalating and resolving any errors with cedants.
- Perform detailed analysis of cedant’s claims data and reconcile premiums with treaty conditions and accounts.
- Assist Technical Accounting team with accounting activities including booking of Statement of Accounts, data quality review of seriatim data and sending account reminders to cedants.
- Work with various stakeholders to ensure claims data is readily available to them.
- Actively monitor client accounts and produce summary reports highlighting trends and issues.
Additional Information
About you:
You have:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role or in Life re/insurance Accounting. Possess some general re/insurance knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent (BAC+3)
- Proficient with Access Databases and strong Excel skills.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written), knowledge of French is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact and communicate across all levels
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
