Position Summary
The CRT Specialist provides field installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for CRT and torque turn operations, liaising with various equipment OEMs when needed.
Essential functions
- Must have the ability and knowledge to perform Top-Drive Calibrations.
- Must have the ability and knowledge to dress and undress casing running tools (Tesco, Top-Tek, and Volant, preferred).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Observe maintenance procedures and keep all tools and shop equipment in good working condition.
- Must have the ability and knowledge to interpret torque turn graphs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment including torque turn computer systems, torque subs, and CRTs.
- Troubleshoot and repair torque turn computer systems, torque subs, and CRTs.
- Complete and maintain appropriate repair and maintenance documentation as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Load and unload trucks, either manually or using a forklift.
- Conduct a daily JSA and report any safety concerns observed.
- Communicate with customer on any issues or needs.

- Prior casing running experience a plus, but not required.
- Must have the ability to listen and learn.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- A minimum 1-3 years of experience repairing and maintaining and troubleshooting equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, with most items weighing between 2 and 20 pounds.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses, hart hat, impact gloves and safety shoes.
- Must obtain strong communication skills.
- Must maintain all applicable field training.
- Able to work with fellow employees.
- Co-ordination qualities.
- Must be able to adhere to Parker Wellbore’s PPE policies.

Physical demands and work environment
- Oversee and manage the overall quality of projects and/or employee performance.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Ability to work around moving machinery.
- Ability to perform under stress, under pressure, and/or in emergency situations.
- Lift, carry, and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
- Operate machinery and/or power tools.
- Ability to walk on uneven ground (gravel, rocks, mounds, ice).
- Wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses, goggles and full body harness.
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull, reach, and use repetitive wrist and hand movements.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and/or ramps while carrying tools requiring a reasonable degree of physical stamina and agility and involving moderate to severe physical exertion.
- Operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (Cold or Heat).
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, reason logically, and make sound decisions.
- Ability to comprehend, remember, and follow verbal and written directions and comply with Company policies, procedures and standard.
- Ability to work in hazardous conditions (dust/gas/fumes/steam/chemicals).
