Job Summary

As a Senior Automation Engineer in our enterprise architecture group, you will join a world-class IT organization dedicated to innovation and quality. We are seeking a passionate, self-starting engineer who takes ownership and is driven to solve complex problems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to build high-quality products, championing a culture of collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and functional requirements to develop and implement comprehensive, meaningful test coverage.
  • Leverage AI/ML for intelligent, automated test design for APIs, UI, and back-end systems.
  • Utilize generative AI and other AI-powered tools for efficient test code generation, synthetic data creation, and anomaly detection.
  • Proactively collaborate and exchange information with cross-functional teams to ensure test efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and innovative quality solutions like test data management.
  • Take a hands-on role in developing and refining test automation frameworks, strategies, and solutions to support high-quality product releases.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering or Software Development in Test (SDET).
  • Strong programming skills with at least 2 years of experience in Python, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge and experience applying AI/ML concepts and tools to software quality challenges, including generative AI for code/test generation.
  • Proven experience in developing test automation frameworks and tooling for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Harness.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, API test design, and integration strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-powered copilot tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Playwright, Cursor) for script generation and development productivity.
  • Exposure to innovative QA practices like automated test data generation, service mocking, or AI-based test insights.
  • A curious and positive mindset with a drive to challenge the status quo and improve processes.

Our IT Quality Assurance team is responsible for ensuring that high-quality products are delivered to our business users. They are the first line of defence in vetting any new product build and assisting our engineers in building reliable and scalable solutions. It's a critical function that will enable all of IT to execute with excellence, at a faster pace without compromising delivery quality.
