Job Description
Your Career
As a leader on the Prisma Cloud Technical Documentation team, you'll be leading a team of writers, giving feedback, driving process improvements, and collaborating internally to ensure that we deliver content on time and at high quality. In addition to being a coach, you'll also be actively writing documentation for releases, identifying and resolving documentation issues to drive accuracy and usability, and finding ways to help customers adopt the product more easily to secure their cloud deployments.
Your Impact
- Become a core member of the Tech Docs team who advocates for writers and builds supportive relationship with cross-functional team members
- Mentor writers and help them develop the skills to produce high-quality documentation
- Develop relevant content, tools and processes to streamline the onboarding for our writers and intake process for documentation requests with our Eng, PM and field stakeholders to enable a better customer experience
- Track and manage multiple projects across the team in a fast-paced environment - When tracking and coordinating projects, you communicate project goals, dependencies, and deadlines to all stakeholders - You like to make sure that everyone is working with the same information, you work towards building consensus, and you set expectations effectively
- Identity and address feedback on content on a regular basis to constantly improve customer experience
- Meet our users’ needs not only today, but tomorrow as well - Leverage your critical-thinking skills and ability to anticipate what’s next so that we can deliver a best-in-class content experience
Qualifications
Your Experience
- BA/BS or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required
- 10+ years as a technical writer, with at least 5 years leading writing teams and experience planning and managing complex projects
- Experience researching and writing excellent documentation for a SaaS service in the public cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure), and are enthusiastic in writing about cloud-computing and/or security
- Knowledge of security and its relevance in the public cloud, and are enthusiastic in writing about cloud-computing, or security for cloud native technologies
- Adept with team collaboration and release tracking tools (Jira and Confluence,
G Suite tools) - Experience with topic-based writing (AsciiDoc, DITA or XML authoring)
- Solid working knowledge of source control tools (Git), API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI), video tutorial creation (Camtasia)
- Excellent communication skills, and experience collaborating with internal customers and stakeholders
- Experience reviewing content and performing developmental edits to help the team deliver content more clearly, concisely, and accurately
- Hands-on with the products, and you can empathize with the challenges our customers face
- Ability to grasp new technologies quickly, prioritize, and juggle multiple responsibilities

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $160,300/yr to $259,250/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
