About the role
We are now looking for a highly organised, experienced Payroll Administrator with a keen eye for detail who will take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of payment of staff in New Zealand. Based in Hamilton NZ, reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be an integral member of the Shared Services team.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Processing payrolls in a timely and accurate manner and backing up others when team members are on leave.
- Ensuring all employee master data is accurate.
- Meeting Audit requirements.
- Manage end to end processing of site collective agreements.
- Complete requests for reports and data.
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues.
- Understanding and fully utilising the Kronos time and Attendance system
- Ensuring any legislative and compliance changes are maintained in our systems.
- Ensuring all compliance risks are identified, communicated, and addressed in a timely manner.
- Maintain full compliance with Pact Group’s Workplace Health, Safety, and Environmental (WHSE) policies and all relevant legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Environmental Protection Authority Act.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- 3-4 years’ experience in payroll and administration.
- New Zealand payroll experience including working with multiple collective agreements and individual employment agreements.
- Demonstrated capability in process improvement and change management.
- Action orientated approach with proven ability to implement and embed change.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
