Job Description

TA Services is looking for a proven hunter — someone who builds a pipeline from nothing, closes new logos, and then grows them year over year by earning the right to more of their freight. This is field sales, not sales management. You will sell our full suite: multi-modal freight brokerage, managed transportation, warehousing and fulfillment, and cross-border logistics across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build your own pipeline within your assigned region and vertical — source, qualify, and close new logos rather than inheriting a book of business.
  • Prospect against our ideal customer profile: map target shippers' supply chain networks, identify key decision makers, and quantify their spend.
  • Engage at the Director level and above across supply chain, logistics, procurement, and finance.
  • Own the full sales cycle: discovery, solution design, pricing strategy, RFP and bid response, negotiation, and close.
  • Partner with Pricing and Operations to build integrated, multi-service solutions — and validate they are executable before they reach the customer.
  • Hand off cleanly to Account Management and Operations, then stay engaged to protect the revenue you won.
  • Grow your accounts deliberately by mode, lane, and service line, and meet or exceed your revenue and margin targets.

Work Environment

  • Collaborative and cross-functional — you will work daily with pricing, operations, marketing, and executive leadership.
  • Autonomous and results driven. You are trusted to run your accounts your own way, and measured on what you bring in.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years selling third-party logistics as an individual contributor, closing new business. Not sales management, not renewals.
  • A record of accounts you landed and then grew year over year. Be prepared to speak to specifics.
  • Experience selling integrated, value-added solutions rather than competing on rate alone.
  • Working knowledge of multi-modal transportation, managed transportation, warehousing and fulfillment, and cross-border logistics.
  • An established network of shipper relationships you can activate.
  • CRM discipline and accurate pipeline forecasting.

Bonus Points

  • Drayage, intermodal, LTL, or cross-border experience.
  • A background selling manufacturing, automotive, retail, or CPG shippers.
  • Spanish language skills for cross-border customer and carrier relationships.

Personality Traits

  • You communicate clearly and persuasively, in writing and in the room.
  • You build relationships that outlast contracts, and you negotiate without damaging them.
  • You are self-motivated and goal-driven — you do not need a lead list handed to you to get started.
  • You think analytically and strategically about a customer's network, not just their next load.

You solve problems and make decisions with the judgment of an owner.

Additional Information

Pay/Benefits/Perks

  • Base salary: competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • Uncapped commission — your earnings scale with the revenue and margin you bring in.
  • Accrue up to five days PTO in first year. Two-weeks vacation, plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability
  • Other benefits include Doc-On-Demand, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Volunteer Day, Employee Assistance Program
