Job Description

  • Maintain the Extrusion / Thermoforming machines ensuring minimal downtime
  • Respond to machine breakdowns
  • Diagnose and effectively deal with problems as they arise
  • Support and improve the engineering planned maintenance program
  • Able to effectively prioritise your work load
  • Make sure stock is available to keep key equipment maintained
  • Projects as/when required

Qualifications

  • Qualified in the latest regulations (completed an apprenticeship or formal City & Guilds qualification)
  • Able to diagnose issues, understand the root cause and implement corrective action when required.
  • Have knowledge of PLC’s, control panel experience & ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams
  • You will be able to work under your own initiative and solve problems
  • An excellent communicator, communication skills are paramount in understanding and communicating effectively with colleagues
  • Able to work effectively within your team, department and with Team Leaders/ Managers
  • You should have relevant IT skills, good physical fitness and good attention to detail

£46,000 - £50,000 a year; Inclusive of 25% Shift Allowance - Depending on experience
