Job Description

  • 18-month max term contract
  • Hybrid working model (Melbourne-based, 3 days from home)
  • Play a key role in modernising OUA’s marketing data and audience strategy

We’re looking for a Lifecycle Data Analyst to power how we target, engage and convert students through data.

This role sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and platforms; owning the audience logic that underpins lifecycle campaigns across channels. You’ll ensure the right people are targeted, with the right rules, using data that is accurate, reusable, and scalable.

A key part of the role is helping OUA transition toward a modern data ecosystem, where audience logic is defined in core data systems rather than locked inside marketing tools.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define and build reusable audience segments that translate marketing needs into clear, structured data logic
  • Create and validate activation-ready audiences in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency
  • Ensure and maintain high data quality through governance, documentation, and validation practices
  • Design and transition segmentation logic into core data systems to improve scalability and reduce platform dependency
  • Deliver and surface reporting and insights that enable teams to make faster, data-driven decisions

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working with SFMC or similar marketing automation platforms
  • Strong SQL skills with a focus on maintainability and validation
  • Experience building audiences/segments for lifecycle or CRM marketing
  • A strong data quality mindset (QA, reconciliation, documentation)
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear data logic
  • Experience working with data warehouses or integration layers
  • Strong stakeholder skills across marketing, data, and external partners
