Job Description

As a Senior Content Designer, your mission is to design, analyse and create content solutions to support the student journey and drive impactful experiences across multiple channels.

You will lead and shape the content design and UX writing practices and work with product managers, designers, marketers and engineers. Moving between strategy, design and implementation, you’ll ensure content is aligned to our experience vision, design principles, content strategy and brand values.

  • Plan, analyse and produce content and product copy that is relevant, easy to understand, accessible, inclusive, and conforms to our brand style & voice.
  • Use data, insights, and research to inform content and design decisions. Monitor the performance of content and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use a range of techniques and methods such as user centered design, design thinking and continuous discovery to design, test and validate content assumptions.
  • Participate in design and research sessions to uncover core concepts, customer language, and top tasks that content needs to support.
  • Defining technical specifications for content features such as components, structured content, dynamic content delivery and authoring needs in the CMS.
  • Co-design end-to-end experiences for different segments, personas, intents and goals across content delivery channels (web, chat, portal, applications, email etc).
  • Produce and maintain artifacts and deliverables such as frameworks, user journeys, personas, personas, empathy maps, writing guides, content audits, governance docs, UI copy library, testing plans.
  • Communicate and present content impacts, findings, and recommendations at team and organisation levels.
  • Develop relationships with team and trade leads to build awareness of the value of content design while developing and contributing to our content design system, principles, and playbook.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years or demonstrated experience in related roles such as content design, content strategy or UX writing.
  • Case studies from prior experiences showing how you have made an impact on users, products, or experiences through effective content design. May include writing samples, steps on how you solved a problem or iterations based on research or insights. (Keep them brief).
  • Familiarity working with content or design tools such as analytics and behaviour (Google analytics, Full story), research (Optimal workshop, Qualtrics), design (Figma, Miro) and optimisation (Optimizely).
  • Experience working with CMS and related content platforms (Sitecore).
  • Proficiency in connecting brand drivers, design principles, brand voice and tone, and product or experience narratives.
  • An understanding of product or experience design processes, best practices, experimentation and iterating designs based on research, stakeholder feedback, and metrics.
  • Experience in leading and running content or design workshops desirable.
