Job Description
At Olsson, we help our clients proactively comply with complicated regulatory processes and provide our clients with the latest and best methods of documentation, remediation, and restoration. As an Assistant Scientist, you will complete a variety of scientific tasks, perform research, write reports, and utilize CAD and/or GIS. This role includes the use of GIS software to model various infrastructure and/or environmental features; design network architectures in a GIS environment; perform network documentation using Microsoft Excel and Visio; and conduct data collection activities. You may also coordinate with clients and travel to jobs sites for data collection, observation, and/or field work, working in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

You bring to the team:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline, may have advanced degree (MS)
- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with GIS
- Expert in ESRI applications (Portal/Enterprise, AGOL, ArcPro and Desktop platforms)
- Expert of all ArcGIS in the creation of online maps and mobile application (Web application, Experience, Collector, Explorer, Workforce, Survey123, Field Maps, and Tracker)
- Renewable and/or construction experience preferred
- Environmental field experience related to site assessments and/or biological studies preferred
