Job Description

We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Project Manager to take the reins on complex, technology-focused projects, particularly those involving Data Analyticsmigration assessments and execution involving Cloud Technologies.
This role is about more than just keeping things on track – it’s about steering the ship, anticipating challenges, and delivering top-notch solutions for enterprise clients.
You’ll be responsible for managing cloud-based transformations and executing large-scale technology projects in enterprise environment. Your expertise will help ensure that projects run smoothly, stakeholders are engaged, and both internal and external teams are aligned on the end goals. 
Areas where you'll need to shine:

  • Leading Data Analytics and migration projects: You’ll be at the helm of data lake/warehouse implementations, migration assessments, and execution plans, ensuring everything moves seamlessly from start to finish.
  • Stakeholder management: You won’t just manage; you’ll connect with senior technical leaders and business executives, making sure everyone is in sync and all concerns are addressed before they’re even raised.
  • Planning & execution: Your plans are more than just documents; they’re blueprints for success. You’ll develop easy to understand project plans with Gantt charts, that account for dependencies, milestones, and critical paths, guiding your team through execution.
  • Proactive problem-solving: You’ll anticipate risks and manage scope changes with ease, keeping projects on time and within budget.
  • Navigating enterprise environments: Working with large organizations requires finesse. You’ll bring your expertise in managing within corporate structures, navigating approval processes, and aligning with enterprise project management frameworks.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • A proven leader who has a track record managing projects or programs related to data analytics and data migration assessments and executions.
  • Experience managing projects as an external vendor or consultant, understanding the nuances and challenges of delivering results from the outside, while ensuring alignment with client expectations and enterprise processes.
  • Someone who thrives in enterprise environments and has experience working in high-impact / regulated industries such as finance or financial services.
  • Strong stakeholder management – not just managing relationships but building them, especially with senior business executives and technical leaders.
  • The ability to develop and execute detailed project plans with milestones, dependencies, and contingencies built-in. You’ve done this before, and you’re good at it.
  • A problem-solver who doesn’t just react but proactively mitigates risks and handles scope changes with confidence and clarity.
  • Experience leading teams of 5-10 direct reports, while also managing 25-30 internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with tools like GanttPro, Microsoft Project, and Jira Advanced Roadmap to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years leading data-focused projects.
  • minimum BA degree in Engineering, IT, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Solid understanding of Data Architecture, Data Lakes/Warehouses, Data Engineering and Data science
  • Solid Understanding of Cloud  Technologies and the challenges and benefits of cloud technologies.
  • Strong background working in enterprise environments, particularly in high-impact industries such as finance, financial services, banking, or insurance.
  • Experience managing projects as an external vendor or consultant, with a clear understanding of the complexities and nuances of managing projects as an outsider.
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing documents and presentations for reporting, steering committees, and stakeholder updates. You should be able to articulate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to archive and recall memos, decisions, activity logs, and meeting notes quickly and efficiently. You’ve been in situations where pulling this information is critical to managing escalations or legal reviews.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Agile, or Scrum Master are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and work within enterprise project governance.
  • Experience leading teams of 5-10 direct reports, while also managing 25-30 internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with tools like GanttPro, Microsoft Project, and Jira Advanced Roadmap to keep projects on track.
