Job Description
- Prepare and execute menu items to La Plume’s culinary standards with consistency, precision, and care.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workstation during service, ensuring readiness for lunch, dinner, and special events.
- Follow established recipes, portioning, and plating standards to ensure quality and presentation.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to support smooth and timely service.
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards.
- Assist with daily mise en place, prep, and station set-up and breakdown.
- Monitor product quality and freshness, minimizing waste through proper storage and rotation.
- Support senior cooks and chefs with additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced, professional restaurant environment.
- Culinary diploma or formal training is an asset.
- Strong foundational cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen techniques and equipment.
- Ability to take direction, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain composure during busy service periods.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to learning and growth.
- Physically able to meet the demands of the job — including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
