Job Description

Job Purpose

If you enjoy building strong client relationships and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in alternative investment funds while making a meaningful impact for clients. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver accurate fund accounting and financial reporting services, helping to ensure their structures are managed effectively while maintaining the high standards of service, quality and responsiveness that define Ocorian.

Main Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of cash and position reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly to maintain the accuracy and integrity of fund records.
  • Preparing expense schedules, including management fee and carried interest/performance fee calculations, and supporting accurate investor allocations for each NAV cycle.
  • Playing a key role in the delivery of NAVs and client reporting, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
  • Supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, while contributing to a smooth and successful annual audit process.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted day-to-day operational contact, delivering a responsive and high-quality service experience.
  • Expanding your knowledge of offshore and onshore closed-ended fund structures and applying that expertise to deliver value to clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborating closely with team members, openly sharing information, identifying potential risks and helping drive solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the wider team by providing coverage across client portfolios and contributing wherever needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Helping to develop and mentor junior colleagues through knowledge sharing, guidance and ongoing support.
  • Getting involved in projects, process enhancements and business initiatives that contribute to the growth and success of both the team and Ocorian.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years' fund accounting experience in Alternative Investments, Private Equity and/or Private Debt funds.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fund structures, debt products and waterfall calculations.
  • Experience with eFront preferred; Geneva or Investran advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel and strong fund accounting skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership.
