Purpose of the Role

To be able to assist the Global Compliance Team in the following duties and responsibilities.  The role will be in respect of all Ocorian jurisdictions. This means the role holder may have to interpret a range of different regulations.

Main responsibilities

  • Assist in building a global compliance monitoring programme structure for Ocorian Group companies
  • Carry out compliance monitoring tasks in line with the programme
  • Produce the regular compliance reports
  • Support and deliver other compliance related activities
  • Assist in developing and implementing global compliance guidance and processes
  • Provide Compliance advice if within area of knowledge

Qualifications

Knowledge/skills/experience

  • May hold Certificate level qualification or above or working towards it
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret regulations constructively with a “can do” approach
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing, to express views in a clear and succinct manner at all levels within the organisation
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills to convey the findings of reviews and provision of reports to senior management
  • Ability to think about review findings and present them in a clear, articulate manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and the requirement to produce documentation to a high standard
  • An enquiring and analytical mind with good investigative skills and the ability to spot and question findings and suggest potential solutions / improvements.
  • Ability to pragmatically review findings in a commercial environment
  • Good time management with the ability to work in an orderly way, as well as the ability to work under pressure and plan ahead to achieve deadlines set, delivering agreed tasks on time
  • Able to take responsibility for workload and priorities
  • A competent user of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • To be able to travel to other Ocorian offices as required
