Job Description

Purpose of the Job 

Lead and manage the Fund Services business in the US with accountability for the operational service delivery, local relationships we foster with clients, intermediaries and building and integrating local teams into our global culture and operating model. Own the strategic development agenda for the business both locally and globally to deploy latest product innovation, operating model and targeted roadmap, whilst representing the US clients and teams as an active member of the Funds Services management team on investment plans, acquisitions, location and resource strategy.  

Main Responsibilities 

  • Own and manage the Fund Services business in the US ensuring it delivers against its budget and has a credible offering for our employees and our clients. 
  • Be the local leader for the Fund Services business ensuring that intermediary and client relationships are fostered at all levels. 
  • Deliver a strong culture of client service and controlled operational delivery underpinned by Ocorian’s core values – own day-to-day operations across Fund Accounting, Fund Administration and Investor Services for clients 
  • Ensure the operating model for the business is maximised focussing on quality, accuracy and timeliness of client deliverables, controls and efficiency  
  • Identify opportunities for deployment of the global operating model and technology to benefit US clients and teams  
  • Represent US clients and prospects in global Fund Services roadmap, investment and development prioritisations to ensure we are client-led in our product strategy  
  • Sit on local boards and ensure good governance is applied for the business and entity  
  • Own and manage the risk for the business in the US feeding into the Fund Services risk framework. 
  • Actively own the business development pipeline in partnership with Sales, local and global to drive the business – meeting financial plans for net new revenues (new existing and new-new). 
  • Own and manage the contractual terms for existing and new clients, ensuring pricing, commercial and liability / risk terms align to the Ocorian standards. 
  • Own business expansion, bolt-on acquisitions, and new services/location strategy execution. 
  • Oversee the cross locational management structure, resourcing and succession planning at all levels of the business. 
  • Successful and timely delivery of change programmes in the Channel Islands.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

  • Established network in the US and proven track record in relationship building and leadership roles 
  • Strong operational delivery mindset and governance experience, proven history of running operational teams to delivery client outcomes  
  • Experience working with clients in the Alternatives sector across different asset classes including Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, Credit, VC 
  • Strong commercial mindset to grow the business both with existing/new clients and strategically develop the US 
  • Ability to problem solve with a client focussed mindset articulating ideas and positions in a structured manner 
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn and succeed 
  • Understanding of decision processes, stakeholders and market dynamics both for clients and internally  
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders including C Suite individuals 
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative in a ‘scale-up’ environment, navigating both local team deliverables and global priorities  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team and influence those around you 
  • The ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in the Company and to gain the respect of staff and clients.
