Job Description
The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Procurement Supervisor (Fixed Term) to ensure that the logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role will report to the Superintendent Supply Chain
Source suitable quality cost competitive suppliers and service providers.
Maintain and build highly ethical relationships with preferred suppliers and analyze supplier performance.
Corresponds with vendors concerning inquiries about merchandise ordered. Commit stock and direct purchase orders under a competitive environment which maximizes commercial advantage.
Raising and data entry of all purchase orders into the business system.
Ensures efficient and effective procurement and delivery of supplies which are compliant with regulatory requirements.
Oversees the implementation and compliance to policies specified in Procurement of Goods and Services Guidelines and Procedure.
Manages relevant communication for all engineering related activities.
Develops and maintains professional relationships with all suppliers and provides an effective interface with all departments.
Implements various purchasing strategies and assists in reducing procurement costs.
Oversees the open transactions and drives to keep them accurate and relatively low.
Monitors overdue and urgent purchase orders by performing regular and timely expediting

Educational Background
A degree in BA in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or similar relevant field
Work Experience and Background
With at least five (5) years relevant working experience as a procurement supervisor
Detailed understanding of the principles and practice of Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management.
Experience in strategic Procurement and Contract principles and practices.
Work experience in budgeting and purchasing management
Hands on experience with supply chain management software (preferably, Pronto ERP System)
Computer literate (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
