Job Description
Reporting to the Manager- Financial Services, the role requires a strong and proven experience in delivering and coordinating financial accounting and reporting activities, including statutory financial reporting to meet Philippines Stock Exchange (PSE) and Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) reports, and reviewing and overseeing activities to support the accurate delivery of financial reports including system positing, process adherence and timetable management. Passionate about managing a team who will require, to a varying degree, coaching and supervision, to prepare financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders and cash flow and treasury forecasting.
Financial Accounting
- Preparation of the Company’s and related parent entity financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- SME for external and (relevant) internal financial audit engagements.
- Actively contribute to and advise on accounting positions where new and/or revised process changes require.
Coach and Mentor Financial Accountants
- Demonstrated experience in coaching financial professionals in both operational and statutory areas, including providing support remotely.
- Cultivate team collaboration on key deliverables, with a focus on identifying and implementing continuous improvement and automation to current processes.
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership, management, and development, particularly within a diverse cultural and educational context.
Treasury and Cash Flow Management
- Effectively manage the organization’s cashflow and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor level Commercial related tertiary qualification (Commerce, Law, Supply Chain or equivalent, essential)
- Post Graduate accounting qualification (MBA, CPA or equivalent, essential)
- 8+years' experience in a financial accounting and reporting roles
- In-depth understanding of and experience in company ERP systems (Pronto, Oracle, SAP or equivalent)
- Strong Microsoft Suite skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in process mapping and documentation, with a view to lead initiatives to streamline, automate and synergize.
- Commercially astute, with strong financial comprehension of financial reporting, treasury management and tax legislation, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience working in a developing country, coaching, and managing a team highly advantageous.
- Philippine Tax Regulatory Change Awareness
- Regulatory Finance Reporting and Disclosure Requirements
- Strong financial analysis capability, including comprehensive understanding and ability to explain impacts to balance sheet, cash flow and income statement.
- Advanced skills with various Company ERP systems including Pronto, OneStream (General Ledger reconciliations) and Pronto BI.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical skills providing confident and informed financial advice and expertise to optimize outcomes.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills, with a conscientiousness to support team workload as required during surge requirements.
- Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong active listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach and develop the financial services and reporting team.
