Job Description

This is a hybrid internship based in Perrysburg, Ohio. Interns are expected to work on-site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to maximize collaboration, mentorship, and exposure to the business, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.

About the Role

The Procurement Intern will collaborate with an assigned Procurement Specialist to gain hands‑on exposure to the end‑to‑end strategic sourcing lifecycle. You will support real procurement initiatives while learning how sourcing decisions impact manufacturing operations across North America.

Examples of what you will work on include: 

  • Support cost‑saving and supplier optimization initiatives
  • Assisting with data analysis, reporting, and sourcing documentation
  • Communicate and coordinate with suppliers and plant stakeholders to support sourcing initiatives, resolve issues, and ensure business needs are met
  • Help track RFx activities, supplier information, and contract data
  • Shadow experienced Procurement professionals to gain exposure to supplier negotiations, relationship management, and strategic decision-making in a global manufacturing environment
  • Participate in cross‑functional discussions with Operations, Finance, and Engineering

Education and Eligibility

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior internship, co‑op, or relevant academic project experience preferred
  • Interest in strategic sourcing concepts such as RFx processes, supplier research, spend analysis, and cost‑saving initiatives
  • Interest in supplier interactions and analytical concepts, with the ability to support activities under guidance
  • Strong interest in developing analytical and problem‑solving skills, including basic cost or total cost of ownership (TCO) concepts
  • Military experience considered, particularly where it demonstrates leadership, structure, analytical thinking, or problem‑solving skill
