Job Description
Your role will be to allocate and manage the team within the Mould Shop to ensure that high quality equipment is delivered to the Production team in a timely manner. You will need to liaise with external providers regarding equipment repairs and replacements, as well as ensuring onsite equipment is maintained through servicing and repairs.
Key responsibilities will include: • Managing and developing the Mould Shop team to achieve operational excellence and maintain high performance standards • Liaising with external service providers to arrange equipment repairs, replacements, and maintenance schedules • Overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime • Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating equipment procurement to support production requirements • Implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure all equipment meets required specifications
- Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team productivity and equipment reliability • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the Mould Shop • Providing training and development opportunities to enhance team competencies and technical skills • Collaborating with the Production team to understand equipment requirements and resolve operational challenges • Managing budgets and controlling costs associated with maintenance, repairs, and equipment acquisition
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: - Proven experience managing a team within a manufacturing environment - Strong safety focus with knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations - Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance planning - Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications - Demonstrated budget management and cost control experience - Quality assurance or quality control knowledge Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineering background or equivalent technical qualification - Experience in vendor and supplier relationship management - Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives - Experience establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) - Ability to provide technical training and staff development - Knowledge of equipment procurement processes within manufacturing settings - Experience with equipment inventory management systems
