Job Description
- Inspecting and diagnosing issues with piping systems and plumbing fixtures.
- Installing pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
- Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Clearing obstructions from sink drains and toilets.
- Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment required to perform the functions of the position.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Collaborating with plant supervision, contractors, mechanics and electricians
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards in all installations and repairs.
- Reports safety hazards, incidents, and deficiencies to immediate supervisor.
- Ensure all installations and repairs are compliant with government regulations.
- Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, ABS, cast iron, and copper, etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clean-up worksite after work is performed.
- Maintains daily journal of work performed and inventory of supplies
Qualifications
- Gas License and Gas License Class 1 will be considered as asset
- Plumber licence mandatory
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Industrial Plumbing experience considered as asset
- Applicant(s) must be physically fit and be able to withstand vertical heights
- May be required to pass a specific medical examination related to the physical requirements of the position before being accepted
Additional Information
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7am to 3:30pm
Must be available in case of emergency
Hourly Wage: 41.99$
