Job Description

As a data scientist business, you will be responsible for working with raw data from multiple RTB and CRM sources, using a rich technical stack: python, hive, PySpark, Jinja, etc.

The goal is to exploit this data to extract business insights. Your daily playground will go from translating customer needs into complex queries that retrieve relevant data, which you will then analyze in order to make informed decisions on business issues. You understand the importance of and have the ability to formulate and follow test protocols. Being between the data ecosystem and the clients’ business context, you will have a central role in the communication between various programmatic professions (media traders, data scientists, project managers, developers, data engineers, etc.).

This mission is double edged between data and business context.. Strong analytical skills are essential in order to extract and process data correctly. In addition, good development skills will allow you to quickly contribute to our internal analytics library (python). For the business aspect, you will have the opportunity to learn more about it on a daily basis alongside our Media Trading and CRM teams

You will also participate in the optimization of the performance of programmatic campaigns in conjunction with the media traders, thanks to your quantitative contribution and your analytical skills.

You will be proactive in proposing studies and making strategic decisions to achieve the client's objectives (volume of conversions, cost of acquisition etc.).

Your ability to take a step back should become an asset to propose improvements to our existing tools and analyses.

Your role around the data, is:

  • Internally on the optimization of campaigns and the extraction of raw data by taking into account the various biases concerning it.
  • Externally on communication to customers, in their understanding of the figures, via data visualization in particular.

Transverse on :

  • The identification of recurring needs and the design of new associated study templates.
  • The identification and use of different data sources are essential to this mission.
  • Staying up to date with various tools and the ecosystem, by participating in meet-ups and conferences for example.

Qualifications

  • Engineering school or master's degree with specialization or experience in data analysis, statistics
  • Dynamic, with a desire for constant improvement: propose new angles of analysis, bridges between RTB and CRM, automation projects thanks to your technical skills
  • You have drive and leadership, you like to transmit energy and the desire to understand, dig & progress
  • Strong analytical skills, taste for numbers and data
  • Interest in digital and relationship marketing, willingness to draw business conclusions and marketing insights
  • Essential interest in a complex and dynamic ecosystem
  • Curiosity, rigor, and convictions are required
  • Ability to work in a team with people with very different profiles
  • Competence/appetite for data visualization
  • Written and spoken English

Knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem and/or initial experience as a  data scientist business/data analyst would be a plus.

Tools 

  • Mastery of programming languages (Python preferred, other object-oriented language if not)
  • Mastery of database queries (SQL, ...)
  • Mastery of spreadsheet tools (Google Spreadsheet or Excel)
  • Knowledge of data viz tools, dashboard, analytics would be a plus
