Job Description
**This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week located at the Huntley clinic. Schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8a-4:30p and will require travel to McHenry as needed.**
The Device Clinic EP RN reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing professional Nursing care in the analysis of data for patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders following established standards and practices including but not limited to:
- Supports the department in implementing and maintaining a safe and professional environment ensuring quality, efficiency, and optimal patient outcomes while also ensuring appropriate resource utilization.
- Demonstrates professional nursing skills to evaluate patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders.
- Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret ECG rhythms.
- Demonstrates the ability to program settings and troubleshoot devices in collaboration with Electrophysiologists.
- Mastering knowledge of various manufacturers devices and models along with the ability to maintain and integrate technology advancements as they evolve.
- Completes programming orders according to established NM protocols.
- Provides patient education and assessment in face to face or over telephone setting.
- Manages documentation in Epic and Paceart.
Qualifications
Required:
- IDFPR IL Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of critical care and / or cardiology experience.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
Preferred:
- BSN.
- Experienced in electrophysiology and implantable cardiac devices
