The Medical Assistant reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the provider(s) in conducting patient examinations and procedures.
• Obtains and processes specimens for testing and records results in the patients record.
• Performs venipuncture and skin punctures following aseptic technique and in accordance with physician orders.
• Duties may vary by assigned practice.

Required:

• 1 of more years of previous Medical Office Assistant experience
• Phlebotomy experience
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• High School Diploma or equivalent or certificate

Preferred:

• Certified Medical Office Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Phlebotomy Technician
