Job Description
The Program Manager - Provider Ops reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Management:
- Coordinates and tracks the physician recruitment pipeline across departments, including new hires, replacements, and strategic opportunities.
- Facilitates and coordinates projects related to the review and decision making process for physician and advanced practice provider business plans, compensation and growth.
- Onboarding and Initial Experience:
- Serves as an expert on global onboarding policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with shared service departments to communicate and operationalize onboarding needs of new physicians and advanced practice providers, which may include: Medical Staff Office, Revenue Cycle, Marketing/Communications, Operations, IT, Legal, Finance, Credentialing and the Feinberg School of Medicine.
- Facilitates and deploys operational plans to accelerate and enhance physician and clinical provider productivity and satisfaction.
- Co-develops and deploys tools and resources for Medical Directors, Department Chairs, physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrators to ensure standardization and compliance of the onboarding process.
- Manages the NMG Physician Orientation program and logistics.
- Assists with group trainings and other relationship building initiatives including newsletters, committee meetings, orientations, etc.
- Collects feedback and works collaboratively with departments and business units to track the status of physician and advanced practice provider recruitment/onboarding activities to ensure project plans are moving forward.
- Updates all project planning tools and dashboards accordingly.
- Prepares standardized reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of provider onboarding initiatives.
- Maintains procedure manuals and documentation of best practices; ensures appropriate communication of changes in procedures.
- Additional Functions:
- May support additional projects as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in health care, non-profit or for-profit environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to organize and think independently with orientation to deadlines and detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree.
- Academic healthcare experience.
- Experience working closely with physicians in a clinical setting is highly desired.
