Job Description

The Phlebotomist-OUTPATIENT PHLEBOTOMY reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

This position is a casual, non-benefited, night shift position.

This position will also assist with Lab workflow in particular with COVID collection for procedures, ED stats, morning draws, times draws and inpatient/outpatient care.  This person will also train in the Referral Phlebotomist.

Qualifications

Must be a high school graduate or possess your GED.  You must have successfully completed an accredited phlebotomy program.  Possessing an ASCP certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.  Knowledge of phlebotomy and safety standards is required.  A minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare is required.  Previous laboratory experience in specimen processing preferred.
