Pedestrian Group is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Business Strategy & Operations to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Managing Director, this pivotal role will shape the future of the business by driving operational excellence and spearheading growth initiatives across all facets of our operations.

Pedestrian is part of Nine, Australia’s largest locally owned media company, giving you the unique opportunity to leverage the power of Nine’s strategic capabilities. 

This role spans Pedestrian Group’s platforms, including Pedestrian.tv, Pedestrian TELEVISION, Pedestrian JOBS, and Open Air Cinemas.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead strategic planning with the Managing Director and Leadership team.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to implement growth and operational improvements.
  • Oversee KPIs, delivering actionable insights through regular reporting.
  • Apply strategic and analytical rigor to decisions in commercial products, digital development, and audience growth.
  • Foster a data-driven culture to guide decision-making and investment.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with the Finance Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Technology on the digital product and IT infrastructure roadmap.
  • Partner with the Product & Marketing Manager to expand Pedestrian JOBS.
  • Support Leadership in negotiations and partnership discussions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in consulting, finance, business strategy, or similar fields.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with accounting credentials.
  • Strong ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Sound judgment and agility in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire and align teams.
