Job Description

The Commercial Products team manages a fleet of custom-built and off the shelf systems that perform critical functions for our Sales Operations, Traffic, Finance and Presentation teams, which make it possible for us to sell and traffic ads. In other words, our systems manage all revenue associated with broadcast today and progressively into digital.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Platform Manager with a strong focus on industry cloud solutions to lead and manage our Salesforce platform initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation across the organization, leveraging Salesforce's industry-specific clouds. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, in-depth knowledge of industry cloud offerings, people leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Role responsibilities:

  • Architecture owner for the Salesforce platform ensuring designs, security and technical requirements are met in a best practice manner. Work with engineering leadership to identify opportunities to improve practices and processes around engineering and delivery, and assist with the implementation and upkeep of these practices
  • Help develop and maintain a strategy to deliver on business goals via system improvements and new functionality
  • Lead and grow a team of engineers, working in ways that align with Nine’s values
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness in the teams change, builds and deployment approaches
  • Participate in and, when required, facilitate team ceremonies.
  • Feed into the product roadmap, especially by identifying opportunities for technical improvement that will deliver business value via improved reliability, performance, and efficiency.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and ongoing governance on the platforms 

As a leader, you will:

  • Manage team according to a strategic framework of business outcomes and key responsibilities
  • Ensure employee engagement via one-on-ones and other opportunities to help manage performance and career progression

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing Salesforce platforms or similar roles, with a focus on industry cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce products, especially industry clouds (Ideally Media)
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data models, and industry-specific regulations.
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated experience working wtih agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, particularly in navigating complex industry challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Architect, or Salesforce Developer; industry-specific certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with data integration tools and APIs relevant to industry applications.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS in the context of industry cloud functionalities.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools related to Salesforce deployments
