Our business operates in the following four divisions: Australian Community Media, Printing and Stuff; Publishing (including, Metro Mastheads, Nine Digital and Events), Stan, and Television. Nine’s assets include the Nine Network, major mastheads such as The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and Australian Financial Review, digital properties such as nine.com.au, 9Honey, Pedestrian.TV, and CarAdvice, subscription video platform Stan and majority investments in Domain and Macquarie Media.

Senior QA Analyst has the responsibility for analysing, designing and executing the testing of IT solutions provisioned by the 9Technology Commercial Products team and vendors. You are expected to be actively involved in maintaining the existing testing framework, and improving test quality monitoring processes and testing standards.

The duties of the Senior Test Analyst include (however, not limited to):

• Analysis of business requirements and / or functional specification documents and translating these into test scenarios matrix
• Work closely with business analysts to clarify requirements and provide constructive feedback on the quality of requirements
• Detect, report, and manage defects through to remediation
• Work closely with developers for pair testing, issue investigation and/or defect resolutions as required

Technical

• 7 years of minimum experience as a system and functional tester working on large scale projects within an agile environment
• Ability to work within Scrum teams and obtain a strong understanding of Agile approach
• Solid experience testing enterprise client-server applications, web-based applications and web services API testing
• Proficiency with the use of JIRA, Confluence and API testing tools
• In-depth understanding of test design methodologies, test lifecycle and best test practices
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Good working knowledge of MS SQL Server database with hands-on SQL scripting skills

Desirable experience & skills

• Experience testing broadcasting applications is highly desirable
• Hands-on testing experience in Performance/Load testing is desirable
• Hands-on testing experience in Tosca automated testing is desirable
• Experience in testing middleware such as MuleSoft would be an advantage
• Experience in vendor management would be an advantage
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science
• Software Testing accreditation is desirable
