Full Stack Software Engineer
- Full-time
- Compensation: EUR 55000 - EUR 60000 - yearly
Company Description
NIQ Cadence helps brands decide how to spend their marketing budget across channels. Cadence is a compound AI operating system for marketing effectiveness. It combines Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), budget optimization, and LLM agents.
CadenceIO is the operator UI of Cadence. Operators use CadenceIO to load media data, run MMM models, and publish the results to brands. In this role, you build CadenceIO features from the Angular screen to the Python API. You also help shape the front-end conventions of the team.
Job Description
What you will do:
- Deliver each feature end to end. Write the design, build the Angular screens and the FastAPI endpoints, and deploy the feature to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Build screens for large data sets, such as multi-step wizards, editable tables, charts, and live logs of model jobs.
- Implement Figma designs with the tokens of the design system, and make each screen accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Set the structure of the front-end code, from the folder layout to the state in NgRx and Angular signals.
- Review the pull requests of other engineers, and propose changes to the front-end conventions of the team.
- Fix the defects that QA and operators find. For each defect, decide if the fix goes in the client or in the API.
- Release features and hotfixes to production.
- Adopt the software engineering and AI-assisted development principles of the team.
Who you will work with:
You join the CadenceIO development team. Each day, you work with:
- The product engineer, who sets the scope of each sprint. You tell the product engineer which part of the scope fits.
- The designer, who owns the Figma designs and the design system. You tell the designer when a value in a design is incorrect.
- The other front-end engineers on the team, who build CadenceIO with you.
- Backend engineers, who build the data, modeling, and AI services that CadenceIO calls.
- QA engineers and operators, who test each release before it goes to production.
Qualifications
What you bring:
- 5 or more years of professional software development, mostly on the front end, with 3 or more years of Angular.
- 2 or more years of backend development in Python, on APIs in production, with PostgreSQL and Alembic migrations.
- TypeScript, RxJS, and state management with NgRx or Angular signals.
- UIs with data grids, charts, and complex reactive forms.
- Accessible UIs to WCAG 2.1 AA, implemented from Figma designs.
- REST APIs on the client and on the server, with request and response schemas, validation, error status codes, and pagination.
- Polars or pandas, and the export of tabular data to Excel workbooks.
- Unit tests, and end-to-end tests with Playwright or Cypress.
- Docker and Kubernetes expertise to deploy a service and find the cause of a pod failure.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, or other tools that let an LLM agent call an API.
- Code reviews with specific comments that tell the author what to change.
- Clear explanations of technical decisions to product engineers and designers.
