About The Job

The Sales Consultant will be responsible for generating new business alongside the management of a portfolio of accounts. You will have overall responsibility for strategic solution positioning, revenue and service delivery across this portfolio, in conjunction with Level 1 Support and Global Product Specialists.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable influencing senior external stakeholders, nurturing new relationships and maintaining/growing existing relationships, strong sales skills, a track record of using data and tools to drive business growth and be comfortable with owning their own diary.

 

Your Responsibilities

The role is responsible for the implementation of the Content Syndication strategy with your portfolio of prospects and clients, which will encompass the following:

  • Content Syndication function to operate as a profit centre delivering an agreed EBITDA (profit) position annually across all services.
  • Delivery of a multi-million dollar annual budget (OP) for revenue and expenses (including any CapEx requests) in line with the wider business process.
  • Execution of the Content Syndication strategy and solutions in conjunction with the Head of Content Syndication and key stakeholders.
  • Translation of business/functional strategies into specific business plans (OGSM - Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures) to execute against your clients.
  • Drive a client-centric approach to all our solution offerings, with a focus on simplicity and ease for our clients.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and automation in all the solutions we deliver, with an emphasis on best practices and best in class delivery.
  • Work effectively within your team and all other functional areas (Commercial, Operations, Technology, Business Development and Finance/HR) to ensure the smooth running of the Nielsen Brandbank business
  • Solutions delivered to be in accordance with all relevant business policies (NielsenIQ & Nielsen Brandbank).

A Bit About You

  • A strong sales background with a proven track record of managing revenue targets, with a strong desire to consistently overachieve against both personal targets and objectives
  • A good level of experience in key account management, strategic sales planning and implementation, including experience of pipeline management
  • An ability to present at Board Level and below, controlling meetings to achieve your desired outcome and the ability to understand/dive into the detail of a solution
  • The ability to build relationships with customers of all sizes & types, in order to fully understand their objectives and content solutions
  • An understanding of content syndication and digital product content (preferably shopper content) and its application across businesses
  • A basic understanding of systems integration and Basic technical understanding of some or all of the following is preferred
  1. ○ SQL & Relational Database concepts and structures
  2. ○ REST/JSON
  3. ○ Programming languages (pref C#, Ruby)
  4. ○ XML-based web service protocols (SOAP and WSDL)
  • An understanding of shopper content and/or the CPG/FMCG industry and related technologies
  • Experience of Product Information Management (PIM) systems and Master Data Management (MDM) systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages a bonus)
  • Degree in relevant subject area or equivalent experience

What We offer 

  • £33,000 - £40,000 Annually. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria.
  • In addition, a variable remuneration, for example in the form of a performance- or sales-related bonus, may be granted for this position.

  • May require out of hours working, reasonable travel to clients and other NielsenIQ offices (both domestic and international).
