About the Role

The Product Analyst acts as a horizontal connector across multiple product verticals within the Panel Applications team. You will be responsible for understanding business needs, translating them into clear technical requirements, and supporting development teams throughout the complete delivery lifecycle.

This role enables clarity, collaboration, and efficiency in delivering new product features and improvements across NIQ’s Panel Applications ecosystem.

You will help deliver high‑quality digital products by ensuring clear requirement definition, strong alignment with stakeholders, and effective translation into technical specifications for development teams.

You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and global Stakeholders across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Conduct deep requirement discovery to understand the business needs, not only the initial stated request.
  • Interrogate, challenge, and refine requirements to ensure completeness, feasibility, and alignment with product goals.
  • Translate business needs into structured, complete, and actionable functional specifications for development teams.
  • Break down ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable user stories and specifications for development teams.
  • Facilitate conversations with requesters to ensure alignment, clarify scope, and uncover edge cases or dependencies.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Owners, AppDev, QA, UAT, and Enablement teams across multiple geographies across the globe
  • Partner with development teams to support sizing, sprint planning, and refinement discussions.
  • Adapt communication style to diverse cultural and regional contexts.
  • Maintain Jira boards, Confluence documentation, and all requirement artifacts with clarity and accuracy.

Delivery Support & Agile Practices

  • Support agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and PI planning.
  • Coordinate requirement handoff, testing cycles and release readiness.
  • Monitor timelines, pursue missing inputs, and proactively follow up with stakeholders
  • Support delivery using NIQ‑aligned processes (DMAIC).
  • Build process flows (Visio, Miro), system documentation (Confluence), and requirement pages

Qualifications

Must‑Have

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar (less experience accepted when skills strongly match).
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capability, able to break down complex information and convert it into precise functional documents.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Kanban
  • Working knowledge of Power BI.
  • Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with maturity while staying actively connected to a team environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to push for clarity, ownership, and timelines.

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of programming logic (loops, conditional logic, SQL familiarity
  • Experience with survey authoring or market research tools.
  • Exposure to structured delivery cycles or project‑management frameworks (e.g., DMAIC).
  • Experience building or interpreting workflow diagrams (Visio or similar tools).
  • Hands‑on experience in SAFe Framework and Scrum Event Facilitation
