Job Description
We are looking for a senior, commercially driven individual contributor to lead FMCG & Retail growth across APAC within our Consumer Behaviour Insights & Brand practice.
This is a regional role focused on driving revenue through Global/ Regional HQ engagements, multi-market opportunities, and syndicated solutions, while enabling and collaborating with local market teams across APAC.
The role suits someone who thrives in influence-led environments, enjoys working across cultures and markets, and brings deep FMCG & Retail tracking and custom research expertise combined with strong commercial acumen.
Responsibilities
Drive Revenue & Growth (Primary Focus)
- Own and drive FMCG & Retail revenue growth across APAC for Consumer Behaviour Insights & Brand solutions.
- Lead and support large, complex, multi-market and multi-year opportunities, partnering closely with local market sales and delivery teams.
- Play a key role in Global/ Regional HQ engagement strategies, targeting global and regional FMCG & Retail clients.
- Act as a senior contributor on proposals, RFPs, pitches, and strategic client conversations.
- Identify client personas, whitespace opportunities, and priority accounts across markets.
- Think and act in a 360 ° approach to integrate NIQ retail, CPS, analytics data into the custom and tracking work to create a unique differentiation by providing the Full ViewTM
- Enable cross-sell and bundled opportunities across insights, shopper, qualitative, syndicated, innovation, and analytics solutions.
Build & Engage a Thriving FMCG & Retail Community across APAC
- Act as a regional FMCG & Retail subject matter expert, supporting markets in client meetings, pitches, and events.
- Build and nurture a regional FMCG community, enabling collaboration and best-practice sharing across markets.
- Support regional bootcamps, training sessions, and capability-building initiatives.
- Provide markets with client-ready materials, including solution narratives, case studies, and selling playbooks.
Be Voice of FMCG & Retail (Internal NIQ & External Outreach)
- NIQ speaker at external events (client, NIQ, industry forums, market research associations etc.)
- Engage and influence internal NIQ stakeholders like Global 100 FMCG and retail Account Directors, country MDs to positively impact the Consumer Behaviour Insights and Brand business
- Bring strong client and market feedback into global discussions on solution development, positioning, and prioritization.
- Share insights on competitive landscape, emerging trends, and client needs by shaping go-to-market strategies
Who You Are
- Strong background in FMCG & Retail research, covering categories such as food, personal/home care, and beverages
- Deep understanding of consumer insights methodologies and their commercial application.
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and get things done without direct authority.
- Confident and credible in client-facing roles, including senior stakeholder conversations and presentations.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable operating independently in a senior individual contributor role.
- Experience working in regional or multi-market roles, ideally within APAC is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred.
- 10 years+ experience in research, insights, or consulting environments (e.g., NIQ, Ipsos, Kantar, or similar).
- Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and diverse market contexts.
- Willingness to travel regionally, 1-2 times a month
