About this Job

As the Head of HR Benelux and the Nordics, you will serve as a strategic talent partner for business leaders across the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. You’ll shape and execute a people agenda that supports business priorities while championing a high-performance, inclusive culture. You will oversee a team of HR Generalists and junior HRBPs and collaborate closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure best-in-class delivery of all HR programs and practices.

Your future responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering: 

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to business leaders, aligning talent strategies with commercial objectives. 
  • Translate business context into actionable HR plans that drive impact and measurable results. 
  • Stay attuned to local market dynamics to ensure HR strategies are relevant and future-focused

Team and Functional Leadership: 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four HR professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous growth. 
  • Embed a data-informed culture by using insights and analytics to guide decision-making and assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives. 

People and Culture Strategy: 

  • Collaborate with COEs to deliver core HR programs (e.g., total rewards, learning & development, DEI, talent acquisition), adapting them to the unique needs of each market. 
  • Drive the annual talent processes including performance management, succession planning, and incentive planning. 
  • Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee experience, well-being, engagement, and retention. 

Employee Relations and Labor Relations: 

  • Support leaders and associates on complex employee relations issues with empathy, fairness, and legal compliance. 
  • Where applicable, lead constructive partnerships and negotiations with Works Councils and employee representatives, ensuring alignment with local labor laws and company values. 

Change Leadership: 

  • Act as a proactive change agent, enabling transformation and organizational growth. 
  • Lead communication and implementation of HR initiatives with clarity, consistency, and inclusivity. 

A little bit about you:

You have proven experience in a senior HR business partner or director role, ideally in a multi-country scope within a matrixed organization. You have the ability to coach leaders, influence stakeholders, and deliver people solutions that enable business growth, as well as experience leading teams and driving collaboration across HR functions. Your understanding of local labor legislation across the region is strong and deep. You are passionate about creating inclusive, high-performing workplaces. 

Your profile:

  • 6–8+ years of progressive experience in HR, with a strong focus on business partnering or HRBP roles. 
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required 
  • Solid understanding of local labor laws across Benelux and/or the Nordics;
  • Demonstrated experience managing the company's Works Council relationships.
  • Experience in a multinational corporation is strongly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with diverse client groups and cross-functional teams. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international environment. 
  • Confident leadership presence with a hands-on, results-oriented mindset and strong organizational capabilities. 
  • Agile and able to manage multiple priorities and projects with a proactive and solution-focused approach. 
  • Commercial acumen and a strong understanding of how HR contributes to business success.
