Job Description
The Senior Specialist – Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of operational processes for South Africa’s official TV audience measurement currency. This position supports the Head of Operations in managing data processing, quality assurance, incident resolution, and vendor coordination, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of audience data to the market in compliance with internal GfK standards and POPIA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1) Daily Operations & Data Processing: Execute and monitor daily data processing workflows; validate data integrity; implement runbook procedures.
2) Quality Assurance & Control: Perform multi-layer QA checks; document and resolve data discrepancies.
3) Incident Management: Act as first responder for operational incidents; perform root cause analysis; communicate resolution status.
4) Vendor & Technology Coordination: Liaise with fieldwork agencies and data vendors; track operational performance.
5) Process Improvement & Automation: Identify workflow optimization opportunities; support implementation of new tools.
6) Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to POPIA and GfK guidelines; maintain documentation for audits.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years in data operations, audience measurement, or broadcast/media analytics. Strong knowledge of data processing workflows, QA techniques, and operational SLAs. Familiarity with South African TV ecosystem, BRC governance, and panel methodologies. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar for data validation and troubleshooting. Experience with cloud platforms and ETL tools is a plus.

On-time delivery of daily audience data (T+1, T+28); QA pass rates; SLA compliance; documentation completeness for audits.
