Senior Engineer, Cybersecurity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Security Engineer to act as a subject matter expert in the data security domain. This role focuses on safeguarding enterprise data across its lifecycle by deploying advanced security solutions, ensuring compliance with global standards, and driving strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Expertise in Data Security Technologies – Deep conceptual and practical knowledge of data protection tools and frameworks.
- Tool Proficiency – Skilled in Microsoft Purview, Zscaler, CASB, DLP, DSPM, DAM, and encryption/tokenization systems.
- Cloud & Architecture Knowledge – Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, SIEM/SOAR integrations, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Business Alignment – Applies knowledge of key business drivers, compliance standards (GDPR, CIS, PCI-DSS), and industry best practices.
- Strategic Leadership – Leads projects, mentors team members, and fosters collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving & Innovation – Resolves complex technical challenges and introduces new perspectives for scalable solutions.
- Impact & Governance – Influences operational and project outcomes, ensuring secure and compliant delivery within organizational guidelines.
- Effective Communication – Clearly conveys complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and builds consensus.
- Integrity & Collaboration – Promotes transparency, guides decisions, and drives a culture of trust and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement scalable, and manage data security solutions (DLP, DSPM, CASB, DAM, Encryption, Tokenization, etc).
- Configure and optimize data protection policies across endpoints, networks, cloud, and SaaS environments.
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability of production services and data pipelines.
- Provide hands-on support for mission-critical, time-sensitive environments.
- Conduct risk assessments, prepare audit documentation, and support governance initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and reduce risk exposure.
- Champion best practices and contribute to security architecture standards and roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Must have 6-10 years of relevant experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred for specialized disciplines.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Process Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements in data management processes.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve business objectives.
Preferred Certifications
- CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
- Knowledge about best practices in implementing Data Security
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
