Account Development - Sales

  • Full-time

Job Description

As Account Development, you will lead and grow a portfolio of key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and expanding our footprint with existing accounts. You are a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and value creator. You will drive revenue, strengthen client engagement, and represent the voice of the customer inside the organization. Your success comes not just from what you achieve, but how you achieve it: by listening, influencing, negotiating, and building lasting partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Growth & Business Development

  • Own and exceed annual revenue and profitability targets through client expansion and new business.
  • Identify white space opportunities, build and maintain a healthy pipeline that supports account expansion and meets or exceeds revenue targets.
  • Lead proactive lead generation efforts, identifying and qualifying prospects to continuously grow to the top of the funnel.
  • Engage in consultative, insight-led selling to uncover true client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Develop joint business plans (JBPs) that align with client objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Leverage internal experts and cross-functional resources to deliver complex client requirements.

Client Relationship & Influence

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships at multiple levels within client organizations.
  • Listen actively and empathetically to understand client pain points, motivations, and goals.
  • Influence and persuade key stakeholders using strategic storytelling and business impact framing.
  • Navigate procurement and stakeholder dynamics with organizational savvy.
  • Act as a key driver in commercial negotiations, balancing value creation with profitability.

Internal Collaboration & Sales Excellence

  • Champion CRM excellence (e.g., Salesforce, RMM), maintain pipeline hygiene, and drive accurate sales forecasting.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Delivery teams to co-create client value.
  • Share competitive insights and market intelligence to inform business strategies.
  • Participate in the design and enablement of new solutions and pricing models.
  • Serve as a mentor and thought partner across the sales organization.

Mindset and Behaviors

  • Maintain composure and resiliency in high-stakes, fast-paced sales cycles.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm that energizes clients and colleagues.
  • Seek information proactively and share learnings to elevate team knowledge.
  • Model behaviors aligned with our principles and ethical standards.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

  • You’re a challenger and a listener: equally confident in reframing a client’s thinking and asking the second follow-up question.
  • You influence without ego and negotiate with empathy.
  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity with structure and poise.
  • You thrive in a matrixed environment and are excited to collaborate across global teams.
  • You combine commercial acumen with a deep sense of purpose and client centricity.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, tech, or research sectors.
  • Proven success in exceeding revenue goals and driving client expansion.
  • Strong command of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
  • Fluency in English; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, multicultural environment is a plus.
