Job Description
This position will work closely with the Global Category Director and Category Managers to support the strategic direction of the Global Data Procurement organization via developing robust processes and best practices, tools and templates and implementing these within the Data Procurement team as well as with our stakeholders. Additionally, this position will be responsible for supporting Category Managers with executing RFx, spend analysis, supplier due diligence and other special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Global Category Director and Category Managers to develop policies, processes and best practices for the Data Procurement team and training team members and stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain Data Procurement intranet page and teams page to ensure content is accurate and up to date.
- Maintain Data Procurement Preferred supplier lists ensuring supplier definitions are applied appropriately and that suppliers are assigned to the right Procurement category.
- Develop and maintain Data Procurement team’s RFx templates and question library.
- Ownership of Data Procurement contract database including preparing monthly reviews of contracts coming up for renewal and working with Category Managers to ensure they are being actioned.
- Perform due diligence on new and existing suppliers as directed by Category Managers.
- Review lower spend SOWs for Procurement terms ahead of contract signature.
- Monitor Data Procurement team goals and their alignment to their target.
- Support Data Procurement interests in key systems, technology, and financial related projects within the Global Procurement org.
- Work with Vendor Management team on joint activities and projects as directed by Category Managers.
- Conduct spend analysis and desk research in support of RFx, initiatives and other special projects.
- Maintain Data Procurement’s supplier watchlist/blocklist.
- Develop contract summaries and circulate contracts for signature
- Support the Procurement hub teams on Data Procurement topics.
- Work with Category Managers to identify supply chain gaps and support in finding new vendors.
- Work with Category Managers on supplier risk mitigation activities.
- Maintain Data Procurement project tracker including ensuring accurate savings/cost avoidance figures.
- Provide support on Data Procurement POs and supplier invoices as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/apprenticeship in relevant field.
- 3+ years work experience in a regional or global procurement role.
- Base Procurement knowledge and understanding of Procure to Pay and sourcing processes/tools.
- Understanding of contracts and legal language.
- Very good understanding of financials.
- Experience supporting RFx initiatives.
- High level skill in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Ariba.
- Ability to understand and work on operational projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language skills necessary to complete the role – fluency in English
