Job Description
ABOUT THIS JOB
The role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytic service. Responsible mainly for managing technical and statistical aspects of modeling and analytical projects that are sold to clients and for ensuring that projects are delivered to the high-quality standards and timeline agreed with clients, responsible partially for facing client to confirm needs of project delivery. This role will also be involved working closely with solution leader on solution development and enhancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To manage the technical and statistical parts of some analytical products mainly for CPG manufacture clients
- To perform the development of advanced analytics and statistical models to support functional and industry applications
- Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility
- Act as modeling consultant to help commercial team in the initial project design stage and answering technical questions that may arise in final results presentation to clients
- Act technical expert to liaise with global/local product leadership team in order to be constantly updated and trained in new or alternative modeling and analytical techniques and procedures
Qualifications
- BA / BS in statistics related background and has 2-5 years statistic modeling working experiences
- Familiarity with relational database and SQL
- Proficient in data mining tools, Python is a must
- Experience working with large data sets, experience working with distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.) is a plus
- Solid statistic knowledge and has capability to design new methodology
- Understanding on some frequently used Machine Learning Algorithm (e.g, decision tree, random forest, SVM, network analysis, etc)
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and project management skill is needed
- Experience in FMCG / Service / Retail industry would be a plus
- Experience using Spark is preferred
