Job Description
Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new “Connect” platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ’s data and insights to innovate and grow.
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our engineering team towards success. You will be responsible for defining and aligning user stories, ensuring code quality, and leading technical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Define and align user stories to ensure they are clear, concise, and actionable for the development team.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in both testing and production environments.
- Innovation and Research: Develop proof-of-concepts and research new tools and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
- Scrum Leadership: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as refinement and planning to ensure effective collaboration and prioritization.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of Full Stack Engineering experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or equivalent
- English is required (Being able to have a conversation with non-Spanish speakers and global teams is necessary)
- Experience providing technical support or being part of implementation team
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while being highly detail oriented
- Strong customer service orientation
- Great written and verbal client communication skills
- Teamworking and ability to adapt to change
Nice to haves:
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, and SQL experience
- Experience in Angular, Git
- Experience in Docker, Jenkins
- Experience in Azure
- Experience with Scrum
- Experience with supporting an analytic product in a SaaS environment
- Familiar with Microservices Architecture
